What to expect during your stay



PROGRAM OVERVIEW





Stabilization





Drug addiction treatment is a unique service that affords its participants the opportunity to learn new skills and build a solid foundation. After the initial intake and assessment process is complete, clients are given a tour of the property and an orientation package that outlines the program requirements, rules, and a schedule of their daily activities. The intake assessment helps the counseling staff identify specific issues and challenges that individuals will focus on in their early recovery.



Process Groups





Our counseling staff and group facilitators are experienced and knowledgeable professionals who are dedicated to improving the lives of people beginning their journeys in recovery. Client participation and progress are monitored and reviewed to ensure accountability. A clinical mid-term and regular 1 on 1 sessions are conducted to assess the status of the client’s recovery goals.



After Care





Clients who are nearing the end of their stay work with their counsellor to create a comprehensive and realistic continuing care plan. Each individual plan provides an array of tools and strategies, as well as a series of specific requirements tailored to ensure ongoing success, accountability, and growth in recovery.



Mental Wellness





Personalized Therapy



Together We Can recognizes that each individual resident has unique needs and requires specialized, one-on-one care. The Together We Can mental health care team is staffed by twelve accredited therapists and alcohol and drug counsellors. Our private counselling offers each participant the opportunity to discuss and unpack past traumas, current issues and learn new coping skills for the future. Together with case management, peer support, process groups, and recovery-themed exercises, our residents find their voice and are exposed to new ways of thinking and problem-solving.



Physical wellness





Medical Care



We are proud to offer an on-site clinic staffed by two physicians, specializing in addictions, a Registered Nurse, Dietician, Medical Coordinator, and Medication Coordinator that work in unison to provide each resident top-level medical care. The medical team provides detoxification services, routine medical check-ups, physicals, medication management, and diagnosis. Residents will continue to see these same medical staff throughout their entire treatment journey from detox to sober living. Residents will also have access to our outpatient clinic after their stay for continuity of service.



Fitness Centre



Together We Can is proud to offer an on-site fitness centre complete with a strength machine, weights, and cardio equipment. Staffed by two certified professional trainers, residents are encouraged to begin working on their physical strength as a means to connect mind and body, build confidence and create community. The fitness team also works closely with the kitchen and dietician to help each participant manage a personalized fitness plan.



Emotional Wellness





Fostering Connections



Those who experience substance misuse issues often feel isolated, alone, confused, and scared. Our residents are encouraged to build a strong peer support network that can be accessed after they leave treatment, so they can continue to receive critical support. Through our Alumni programming, residents are invited back to help guide those new to recovery, attend our weekly alumni meeting, and participate in our volunteer program.
