Street Reach Project

Giving Back To Those In Need

TWC's program of giving to those in need on the Vancouver BC streetsA group of TWC Alumni, led by Rico Pulgar, have started an initiative to visit Greater Vancouver’s most impoverished areas with the goal of helping the less fortunate survive the winter months. This compassionate group of men have handed out sandwiches, socks and other necessities in an effort to provide some comfort and care during hard times.

Motivated by a need to “pay it forward” and “be of service”, volunteers are driven by their own personal experiences and the impact of the current fentanyl crisis in Greater Vancouver.

Having fun while giving back to those who need help with addiction issuesMen who volunteered to participate in this alumni outreach project targeted Vancouver’s West End and Granville Street district on their first outing, walking for almost two and half hours offering food and clothing to those in need.

Roughly 70 sandwiches and 50 pairs of gloves have been passed out in Gas Town on October 21st where less the fortunate individuals experience the daily grind of staving off hunger and staying warm. Rodrigo commented that he was “grateful to experience the guys giving back and connecting with the world in a positive way” and implores further support for this outstanding initiative.

Helping homeless with addiction issuesThese fine young gentleman are definitely role models, selflessly devoting their time and energy to help alienated and marginalized segments of the population.

The Alumni Outreach Street Team is always looking for ideas, donations, and help, so don’t hesitate to contact Rico Pulgar at if you want to contribute.
