Together We Can views addiction as a disease that negatively impacts not only individuals, but their families and loved ones too.

Many people who are impacted by a loved one’s addiction feel utterly confused and helpless. They wonder where they went wrong or what they could have done differently. The family program offers answers to these questions and more.

Having the support of family is critical for recovery. When a family is properly educated about the illness of addiction, they are better able to set clear and firm boundaries.

Family Education Group

TWC offers a comprehensive, four session
Family Education Group (FEG) that educates and supports family members to better understand addiction. The sessions are a source of knowledge, support and connection for family members. Sharing similar experiences in a safe and comforting environment allows families to heal together.  The FEG is  FREE of charge to all families and takes place on Wednesday evenings.

Families Anonymous Meeting

We have recently begun providing our space for a Families Anonymous meeting each Wednesday night from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. All members of the public and anyone who has been impacted by the addiction of a loved one is invited to attend. This is a forum to privately discuss the past, present and future in a safe and healthy way with others who have dealt with the same issues.

Online Counselling Support Program

The online counselling support program is facilitated exclusively by Carol Anne Turbitt. Carol Anne utilizes a compassion-based approach, designed to bring the entire family unit closer together. Carol Anne, who has 27 years of sobriety, and is active in her own recovery, has an intimate knowledge of what the individual in treatment is going through, and the boundaries that the family needs to put in place. With a fine touch, Carol Anne is able to promote connection and facilitate the revitalization of family relationships.

Carol Anne is available for a free consultation over the phone, and follow-up counselling, either in person or online via video conference, for a fee.
