Doug Snow is one of our Intake Service Workers at Together We Can, as well as being the House Manager of the Lancaster Residence. Doug’s journey began a year ago as a client at TWC and over the last year, he has risen through the Volunteer Program and is now a full-time employee. Doug came to Vancouver after working for years in the oilfields of Alberta, and he is originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. As a result of following a few simple instructions, Doug now leads a life that is beyond his wildest dreams. Doug enjoys supporting clients who are new to the program and gets a great deal of joy through seeing recovery in progress. Doug is forever grateful to his friends and family who stuck by him through everything and he makes amends to them through his actions. When he’s not at work or a 12-step fellowship meeting, you can catch Doug at the ball field, hockey rink or golf course. Doug particularly loves going back to Cape Breton to visit his two young sons and spend time with his family. Doug is currently enrolled at VCC taking the Basic Counselling Course and he intends to complete a Counselling Program.
