Courtney Nichols, MC:AT, RCC

Clinical Supervisor

Courtney is the Clinical Supervisor at TWC. Her role includes offering individual sessions to clients addressing their issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression, loss and mood management.  Courtney also facilitates a weekly veterans/first responders’ group. She is honoured to witness change and growth in both her supervisees and clients. Courtney has a BA in Psychology from UBC, her Master of Art Therapy and received specialty training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT). She has worked in psychiatric settings with adults struggling with addiction as well as with children suffering from brain injuries and autism.  Courtney’s 10 years of professional experience as a special needs mental health clinician, combined with her knowledge of attachment difficulties and tools for managing anxiety, depression, psychosis and trauma with CBT informed interventions, prepared her perfectly for her role. She was as a figure skater for 10 years, challenging herself in competitions throughout BC which taught her the importance of hard work and dedication. Courtney then went on to teach ice skating to children throughout university.  She loves being active and is looking forward to teaching her young daughter to skate.
