Our individualized treatment plans are designed to meet the needs of our diverse client base, while maintaining a level of structure and support.
All clients are required to attend three meetings per week. Weekly in-house group therapy sessions and morning check-ins are organized and provided for residents. Process groups highlight topics such as relapse prevention, career development, re-training, stress management and continuing care planning.
Bryn Meadows facilitates weekly group therapy sessions at both Beacon Hill and Lighthouse, while Jacqui Armour does so at Parkside. Recovery Victoria also offers the services of Michael Walsh, a sober coach who helps clients get un-stuck and focused. Individual counselling is also available upon request.
Once clients have successfully demonstrated the ability to maintain balance between their responsibilities in the house and working their recovery program, they are encouraged to establish roots in the community. Some of the common activities our residents engage in are volunteer work, continued education or skills training, and acquisition of gainful employment. WorkBC initiatives are available to Recovery Victoria clients who are interested in partaking in a job training program.
As they learn how to navigate these commitments, we begin the process of transitioning clients to independent living. Our team creates a seamless reintegration plan for individuals as they return to their communities as productive members of society.
TWC is dedicated to a recovery-oriented system of care. We welcome individuals who have either completed residential treatment elsewhere or are enrolled in outpatient programs.
The spacious, well-appointed heritage homes provide clients with a stable environment in which to grow and succeed in their recovery.
The Lighthouse is an eight-bedroom home containing thirteen beds. Beacon Hill is a seven-bedroom home that houses eleven beds, and Parkside is a four-bedroom home with seven beds. Each house features a large TV with cable package, wi-fi, land line with free long distance, computer, laundry and plenty of free parking.
