TWC And The Last Door Win Viewer’s Choice Award – Pride 2016

The Voters Have Spoken – It's Official!

The viewers have spoken and the results are official! With over 250 entries submitted, Together We Can and the Last Door Recovery Society have been awarded the Viewer’s Choice Award for their float entries in the 2016 Vancouver Pride Parade!

Our float's truly were crowd-pleasers this year as onlookers jumped to the music, cheered and clapped for the great energy displayed. A special brand of passion and unity was presented by members of the recovery community who came out to support such this amazing event.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and contributors who built, planned and danced up a storm on our beach fantasy themed float this year. It is truly amazing that Together We Can and The Last Door were able to spread the message of “fun in recovery” on such a grand scale that dazzled and deeply impacted spectators.

The TWC Addiction Recovery and Education Society empowers our residents with the principles of inclusiveness, diversity and acceptance to make a lasting, positive impact in the community.

A special thank you is extended to Don Presland and Rodrigo Pulgar at TWC’s Alliance Program for the countless hours of planning and preparing that went into making TWC’s Pride Float one to be remembered for years to come.

We would also like to thank Giuseppe and his team at the Last Door for bringing great energy and an outstanding entry to this year’s parade. We are thrilled when opportunities are available to broadcast our beliefs and can’t wait to do it again next year!
