What is Beauty Night Society?

Beauty Night is an award-winning, volunteer-run, registered Canadian charity that builds self esteem and changes lives of women and youth living in poverty through three streams of programs: wellness, life skills development and makeovers. Through this we give life-makeovers. Who do they serve? 1/3 seniors, 1/3 mothers & children, 1/3 street youth & survival sex workers.

What is BWSS – Battered Women’s Support Services

We contribute to the freedom and liberation of girls and women from violence and to empower our community through training and education programs. For over 35 years, we have been providing counselling and healing spaces for those who have experienced abuse. To help women build strength and resiliency, we work on systemic advocacy, law reform, in-class youth engagement programs and we operate a social enterprise called My Sister’s Closet in British Columbia. In addition, we support our male counterparts by urging them to own their role in ending violence against girls and women.

All welcome to join us at 6th and 6th Street in Uptown City of New Westminster. UN-mute your recovery story, support your friends and family in recovery, or come learn about the many pathways to addiction recovery. Recovery Day BC is a street festival, a rally, a protest, a celebration of life for those lost, a celebration of life for those who found a new way to live, or a learning tool for those who want to learn more about recovery. One day at a time, or just for today, we can overcome the stigma of addiction and the stigma of recovery.
